Computer repair and upgrades
Slow, broken, infected or just old: we diagnose it honestly, fix what is worth fixing, and tell you when it is not.
We have been repairing computers since 2000, which means we have seen most of what can go wrong. Hardware faults, failing drives, overheating laptops, cracked screens, Windows that will not boot, Macs that will not update, malware, ransomware, and the slow creep of a machine full of things you never installed. We diagnose first, quote before we work, and do not recommend a repair that costs more than the machine is worth.
Upgrades are often the better answer: a solid-state drive and more memory turn a five-year-old computer into a fast one for a fraction of replacement cost. When a machine really is done we can supply a new one, set it up, move everything across and take the old one for secure data wiping and recycling.
Data recovery is handled carefully: failing drives are imaged before anything else is attempted, and we are straight with you about the odds. For businesses we fold repairs into a support plan so there is one number to call.

Common questions
Do you come to me or do I bring it in?
Both. On-site visits across our service area for business and for anything that involves the network; pickup and return for bench work on individual machines.
Is it worth repairing an older computer?
Often, yes. An SSD and memory upgrade on a machine that is otherwise sound is the best value in computing. We will tell you when it is not.
Can you recover files from a dead drive?
Frequently. We image the drive first to avoid making things worse and give you a realistic assessment before any paid recovery work.
