RelayPoint Technologies

About

Enterprise thinking.
Personal service.

RelayPoint Technologies is the rebrand of J.Dargie, ICS: the same person, a sharper focus, and a wider set of tools.

I'm Josh Dargie. For more than twenty years I've worked across the whole technology stack: pulling structured cabling, designing networks, installing cameras and access control, running hosting infrastructure, and writing software for businesses that needed something off-the-shelf couldn't do.

That combination is unusual. Most people specialise in one layer and subcontract the rest, which is how a small business ends up with a cabling company, a network guy, an alarm company, a web agency and a hosting provider, none of whom talk to each other. RelayPoint exists so you can have one partner who understands the whole picture and is accountable for all of it.

The name comes from the relay: the component that takes a signal in and passes it on, stronger. It's inside the security panels and automation controllers we install, and it's a decent description of what we do for our clients.

What hasn't changed: the person who quotes the job is the person who does it. Equipment is named in every quote. You own what we install. And we answer the phone.

How we work

Vendor-neutral

We recommend what fits, not what pays the best commission. If you already own good gear, we'll use it.

Documented

Labels, diagrams, and credentials in a vault you control. Every job ends with a handover, not a shrug.

Licensed where it matters

Low-voltage work is ours. Line-voltage work is done by a licensed electrical contractor we coordinate.

Honest scope

If a project is bigger than us, we'll say so and help you find the right people.
