Six gadgets and six apps is not a smart home. One system that does what you tell it, keeps working when the internet does not, and does not need a monthly fee, is.
We design and install smart-home systems that behave like part of the house: lights that respond to time and presence, shades that track the sun, a thermostat that knows when you are away, locks and a garage door you can check from anywhere, and audio that follows you from room to room. Everything is brought onto one platform with one app, and scenes such as arriving, leaving and bedtime do the work so you do not have to.
Our approach is local-first and open. Control happens inside the house, so a cloud outage or a company shutting down its servers does not turn your lights into ornaments. We favour Lutron for lighting and shades because it is reliable and does not need the internet, Home Assistant as the platform that ties brands together, and UniFi for the network, cameras and door access underneath. You own all of it and any competent integrator could take it over.
We do this in new builds, where wiring for keypads, shades and sensors goes in before drywall, and in existing homes, where retrofit devices and a little creativity get most of the way there.

Common questions
Will it keep working if the internet goes down?
Yes. Lighting, shades, climate and locks are controlled locally. Remote access from outside the house needs the internet; the house itself does not.
Is there a monthly fee?
No. We choose equipment and platforms that do not require subscriptions. Any optional cloud services are explained before you buy them.
Can you take over a system someone else installed?
Usually. We audit what is there, keep what works, replace what does not and document the result.
