# Security camera installation

Cameras that record locally, show you what matters from your phone, and do not charge you every month to look at your own footage.

We install wired PoE IP camera systems for houses, shops, offices, farms, warehouses and multi-unit buildings. Wired, because Wi-Fi cameras drop out, chew batteries and saturate the network; PoE, because one cable carries power and video and there is nothing to plug in at the camera. Footage records to an NVR on your premises, so there is no subscription and nothing leaves the building unless you want it to.

Our standard platform is UniFi Protect, which gives you 4K cameras, smart detection of people and vehicles, licence-plate recognition where needed, and a single app shared with your network and door access. We also install and service other professional brands where a site calls for it, and we can integrate cameras with access control and alarm systems so a door event pulls up the right camera automatically.

Every job starts with a walk-through to agree coverage: entrances, driveways, tills, loading doors, blind corners. We specify the lens and mount for each position so the image is useful, not just present, and we set up retention, remote viewing and notifications before we leave.

## Common questions

Is there a monthly fee?No. Recording is local, and the software is included with the hardware. The only ongoing cost is optional: a maintenance plan or off-site clip backup if you want it.

How long is footage kept?It depends on camera count, resolution and drive size. Two to four weeks is typical for homes and small businesses; we size the NVR to the retention you need.

Can I see the cameras when I am away?Yes, from your phone or a browser, securely, without opening ports on your firewall.

Do you install wireless cameras?Rarely, and only where cabling is impossible. Wired cameras are more reliable, need no batteries and do not load your Wi-Fi.
